BP Bunge chairman becomes president of BP in Brazil
Sep 09, 2024 14:06 CESTDec 11, 2012 - Brazil's power sector regulator Aneel has cleared the launch of test operations at the 20-MW Salto Goes small-scale hydroelectric power plant (HPP) of local green energy company CPFL Energias Renovaveis, according to a publication in the State Gazette from yesterday.
The plant has two turbines with capacity of 10 MW each.
It is located in the Tangara city of southern Santa Catarina state.
According to the State Gazette, the regulator has also allowed the start of commercial operations of the third generation unit, of 25 MW, at the Campo Lindo biomass-fired thermoelectric power plant (TPP).
Campo Lindo is located in the Nossa Senhora das Dores municipality of northeastern Sergipe state. It had its first two generation units, with combined capacity of 8 MW, kicked off in March last year.
