Brazil's Piaui govt clears operations for 300-MW wind park
Sep 12, 2024 9:29 CESTSep 26, 2014 - Brazilian electricity sector regulator Thursday gave the go-ahead to the start of commercial operation of eight turbines with a total capacity of 21.6 MW at the EOL Ribeirao wind power plant.
The wind park is located in Amontada municipality, in the northeastern state of Ceara. It is owned by special purpose company Central Eolica Ribeirao Ltda.
Ribeirao and two other wind plants, Palmas and Ilha Grande, make up the Amontada wind power complex.
Aneel also allowed state-run Eletrosul Centrais Eletricas SA to start commercial operations of a 930-kW solar array installed at its headquarters in the municipality of Florianopolis, in the southern state of Santa Catarina.
