Sep 24, 2014 - Brazilian biodiesel production hit 302,000 cu m (1.1m cu ft) in July 2014, a 26% annual jump, according to data from the country's mines and energy ministry.

In the January-July period, the biodiesel output gained 8% year-on-year to 1,793 million cu m.

Brazil will start using a 7% biodesel blend in diesel as of November 2014.

According to the ministry's monthly report on renewable fuels, the country's ethanol production remained stable in July at 3.4 billion litres (747.8m gallons) with consumption of 1.91 billion litres.
