Sep 19, 2024 13:28 CESTThe government of the Brazilian state of Piaui announced on Monday that Governor Rafael Fonteles has signed two memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with French, Spanish and German companies to develop green hydrogen and solar power generation projects.
French hydrogen energy promoter HDF Energy (EPA:HDF) has entered into a solo MoU with the state government, while the second agreement was signed with Spanish firm H2Greem Global Solutions and Som Solar Outdoor Media of Germany, which have agreed to help develop technologies for the production of solar energy, too.

The MoUs were inked in Rotterdam during the 4th edition of the Piaui-Europe Green Hydrogen Summit, which aims to bring together entrepreneurs, investors, and international institutions and provide them with knowledge about the state's opportunities and potential in the energy transition and green hydrogen production areas.
