Israeli thermal energy storage (TES) provider Brenmiller Energy Ltd (NASDAQ:BNRG) plans a new joint venture in Spain with European renewables developers Green Enesys and Viridi that will offer the company’s products via an Energy as a Service (EaaS) business model.

Brenmiller said this week it has signed a term sheet with Green Enesys and Viridi for the creation of the joint venture which will initially focus on Spain, Germany and France. The Israeli firm will produce the modules for its bGen and bGen ZERO products at its factory in Israel.

According to Brenmiller Energy’s head Avi Brenmiller, the partnership will accelerate the distribution of the company’s next-generation product, the bGen ZERO, which was unveiled earlier in August.

“Adding Brenmiller’s bGen to our circular closed loop renewable energy offering will accelerate access to low-cost and reliable electric heat, contributing greater flexibility to Europe’s growing clean generation capacity and helping alleviate countries’ reliance on natural gas,” commented Jose Luis Moran, director of integrated energy solutions at Green Enesys and Viridi.

The bGen ZERO is designed to convert electricity into heat to provide industrial process power and enable continuous renewable management.
