Israeli thermal energy storage (TES) provider Brenmiller Energy Ltd (NASDAQ:BNRG) is close to a deal that will see it participate in the development of nine clean energy projects with 2 GWh of storage capacity.

Brenmiller said on Thursday that it signed a non-binding term sheet with “one of the largest producers of clean energy in the world” and renewables developer Green Enesys Group in a first step towards signing a definitive agreement for such a partnership.

The companies plan to jointly identify and realise projects that will use renewable energy and Brenmiller’s TES system to electrify heat and help customers achieve full decarbonisation. At first, the Israeli firm will manufacture its bGen units at home but eventually could implement a joint production line in Europe to support future projects under the partnership.

The unnamed utility partner will have the option to become a strategic investor with a minority stake in Brenmiller, as announced earlier.
