NTPC’s green energy arm eyes USD 1.2bn from Indian IPO
Sep 19, 2024 11:52 CESTIsraeli thermal energy storage (TES) provider Brenmiller Energy Ltd (NASDAQ:BNRG) has signed a contract to install a 32-MWh TES system for Tempo Beverages Ltd, a local brewer partially owned by Heineken NV (AMS:HEIA).
Under the contract, Brenmiller will deploy its bGen ZERO system to replace Tempo’s current heavy fuel oil boilers at its plant in the city of Netanya, central Israel. The TES will produce sustainable process steam using solar photovoltaic (PV) energy and off-peak grid power when electricity rates are most affordable.
The project will receive a grant of USD 595,000 (EUR 563,769) from the Israeli Ministry of Environmental Protection, as announced earlier this year.
The new system is planned to become operational by the end of 2024. Upon commissioning, it is expected to result in energy cost savings of USD 7.5 million over 15 years, according to Brenmiller estimates.
