Elawan bags Google PPA for 37-MW solar project in Texas
Sep 19, 2024 13:49 CESTMay 8, 2012 - US gas and electric cooking appliances maker Brown Stove Works Inc said today that in April it had connected to the grid a 199.64-kW solar system in Tennessee, installed for it by Lawson Electric Co.
The ground-mounted facility, built on a piece of land close to Brown Stove Works' manufacturing plant in Cleveland, includes 868 Canadian Solar modules. It is estimated to produce more than 250,000 kWh a year, or as much as 50 local households would consume. During its 25-year warranted lifetime, the solar power system will offset 4,500 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions, Brown Stove said.
Lawson Electric took care of the engineering and installation work.
