SOFIA (Bulgaria), May 26 (SeeNews) – Bulgarian car battery manufacturer MonBat [BUL:5MB] said its consolidated pre-tax profit rose by 33% to 11.1 million levs ($6.2 million/5.7 million euro) in the first four months of 2015.

Consolidated net sales revenues rose 10.2% to 81.3 million levs in the January-April period, MonBat said on Monday in a press release.

The company's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) amounted to 15.3 million levs through April, up by 17.7%.

In April alone, MonBat posted a consolidated pre-tax profit of 1.8 million levs, while its consolidated sales revenues were up by 25.3% to 18 million levs. The company's consolidated EBITDA decreased by 10.7% to 2.7 million levs last month.

MonBat operates four plants for manufacturing and recycling of lead-acid batteries, diodes and light-emitting diode luminaires.
