SOFIA (Bulgaria), September 25 (SeeNews) – Bulgarian car battery manufacturer MonBat [BUL:5MB] said its consolidated pre-tax profit rose by an annual 9.6% to 18 million levs ($10.3 million/9.2 million euro) in the first eight months of the year.

Consolidated net sales revenues rose 12.7% to 155.6 million levs in the January-August period, MonBat said in a bourse filing on Wednesday.

In August alone, the company's consolidated pre-tax profit dropped by an annual 13% to 1.5 million levs. Consolidated net sales revenues added 6.3% to 19.8 million levs.

MonBat operates four plants for manufacturing and recycling of lead-acid batteries, diodes and light-emitting diode luminaires.
