SOFIA (Bulgaria), April 27 (SeeNews) – Bulgarian car battery manufacturer MonBat [BUL:5MB] said on Monday its consolidated pre-tax profit rose by 44.5% to 9.3 million levs ($5.2 million/4.8 million euro) in the first three months of 2015.

Consolidated net sales revenues rose 6.5% to 63.3 million levs in the January-March period, MonBat said in a press release.

The company's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) amounted to 12.6 million levs through March, up by 26.3%.

In March alone, MonBat posted a consolidated pre-tax profit of 2.4 million levs, while its consolidated sales revenues were up by 42.7% to 21.2 million levs. The company's consolidated EBITDA increased by 97.5% to 3.9 million levs last month.

MonBat operates four plants for manufacturing and recycling of lead-acid batteries, diodes and light-emitting diode luminaires.
