Bulgarian car maker MonBat's 9-mo non-cons net profit falls 17%

SOFIA (Bulgaria), October 30 (SeeNews) – Bulgarian car battery manufacturer MonBat [BUL:5MB] said on Thursday its non-consolidated net profit went down by nearly 17% to 12.2 millon levs ($7.9 million/6.2 million euro) in the first nine months of 2014.

Non-consolidated net sales revenues went slightly down to 174.5 million levs in January-September, MonBat said in a press statement.

The company's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) amounted to 16.5 million levs, down from nearly 20 million levs.

MonBat operates four plants for manufacturing and recycling of lead-acid batteries, diodes and light-emitting diode luminaires.
