Bulgarian Rural Tourism, PV Projects Get Total 6.9 Mln Euro in Subsidies

SOFIA (Bulgaria), April 6 (SeeNews) – Bulgaria’s State Fund Agriculture approved the allocation of a total of 13.5 million levs ($9.03 million/6.9 million euro) in subsidies to projects for rural tourism and photovoltaic (PV) plants in the country, the fund said on Friday.

The projects envisage the construction of nine PV plants, 34 guesthouses and a holiday compound of six bungalows, the fund said in a statement published on its website.

The funds have been made available to Bulgaria under the EU's rural development programme.

They aim to support micro-enterprises in rural areas in the implementation of non-agricultural business projects.
