Bulgaria's NEK opens tender for new turbines at pumped storage plant
Sep 18, 2024 13:50 CESTSOFIA (Bulgaria), September 4 (SeeNews) – The Bulgarian stock indices ended mostly lower on Thursday as turnover on the regulated market fell, bourse data indicated.
The blue-chip SOFIX index, which tracks the 15 most liquid shares on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE), edged down 0.01% to 559.96 points after rising 1.15% in the previous session.
The broader BGBX40, which includes the 40 most traded shares, rose 0.01% to 110.55 points after rising 1.20% on Wednesday.
Turnover on the regulated market fell to 646,500 levs ($434,600/330,600 euro) from 1.1 million levs on Wednesday.
Car battery producer MonBat [BUL:5MB] was the top SOFIX gainer, going up 1.75% to 8.75 levs as 1,380 shares changed hands.
Tobacco producer Bulgartabac Holding [BUL: 57B] was the top blue-chip decliner, closing 4.96% lower at 53.22 levs in a volume of 32 shares.
The BG-REIT index, which tracks the performance of the real estate investment trusts, was down 0.29% to 98.77 points after rising 0.21% in the previous session.
The BG TotalReturn30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, fell 0.17% to 424.95 points after a rise of 1.31% on Wednesday.
