AGP-Europe signs VPPA with Rezolv for 229-MW solar project in Bulgaria
Sep 05, 2024 12:07 CESTSOFIA (Bulgaria), January 24 (SeeNews) – Bulgaria’s State Fund Agriculture said on Tuesday it will back projects for a total of five photovoltaic installations in the local Blagoevgrad, Haskovo and Gabrovo regions.
The solar installations are part of a package of projects put forth for funding consideration by eight companies that will been approved to receive a combined 2.6 million levs ($1.7 million/1.3 million euro), the fund said in a statement published on its website.
The subsidies aim to back non-agricultural business projects that support job creation in rural areas.
Three of the solar installations will be deployed in the Blagoevgrad region and the rest are planned for Haskovo and Gabrovo. All have a planned capacity of up to 82 kilowatts-peak.
One of the approved projects is for the purchase of construction equipment while two involve the construction of guest houses.
