Bulgarian stock indices end mostly up, turnover falls

SOFIA (Bulgaria), September 27 (SeeNews) – The Bulgarian stock indices closed mostly higher on Friday while total turnover fell, bourse data showed.

The blue-chip SOFIX index, which tracks the 15 most liquid shares on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE), rose 0.10% to 459.31 points after dropping 0.48% on Thursday.

The broader BG40, which includes the 40 most traded shares, lost 0.25% to 155.03 points after edging down 0.40% in the previous trading session.

Total turnover on the regulated market fell to 410,900 levs ($283,700/210,000 euro) from 2.1 million levs on Thursday.

Car battery producer MonBat [BUL:5MB] was the top SOFIX gainer, closing 1.25% higher at 7.20 levs as 699 shares changed hands.

Resort operator Albena [BUL:6AB] was the biggest blue-chip decliner, ending 0.78% lower at 63.50 levs in a volume of 220 shares.

The BG-REIT index, which tracks the performance of real estate investment trusts, ended flat at 87.23 points after adding 0.03% in the previous trading session.

The BG TotalReturn30, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, was up 0.55% to 334.71 points. It edged up 0.09% on Thursday.
