Bulgarian energy solutions provider CEZ ESCO, part of Czech energy group CEZ, will build a 195 kWp solar power plant for the needs of textile products manufacturer Delta Textile-Bulgaria, CEZ Bulgaria said on Friday.

The plant will become operational by the end of April 2020, CEZ Bulgaria said in a statement without providing any details on the volume of the investment in the project.

Delta Textile Bulgaria, established in 2001, specialises in socks and underwear production and trade. It is part of Israel-based Delta Galil Industries and currently employs about 650 people, according to information published by the company in its LinkedIn profile.

Ruse-based Delta Textile Bulgaria works with leading brands such as Nike, Wilson, Converse, Mak&Spencer and Hema, CEZ Bulgaria said.

Last month, Bulgaria's competition authority barred financial and insurance group Eurohold Bulgaria [BUL:4EH] from acquiring the local assets of CEZ group, which also comprise power utility CEZ Distribution Bulgaria [BUL:3CZ], power supplier CEZ Electro Bulgaria [BUL:1CZ], licensed electricity trader CEZ Trade Bulgaria, IT services company CEZ ICT Bulgaria, solar park Free Energy Project Oreshetz, biomass-fired power plant Bara Group and CEZ Bulgaria.
