Bulgarian poultry producer Gradus [BUL:GR6] said on Tuesday that its wholly-owned unit Gradus-1 has invested 1 million levs ($603,000/511,000 euro) in the construction of a 999.74 kWp solar park at its farm in Stara Zagora.

Gradus-1 will use the electricity to cover its own needs and is expected to return its initial investment within a five-year period, Gradus said in a bourse filing.

The photovoltaic installation has a 25-year service life.

Gradus operates through seven subsidiaries - Gradus-1, Gradus-3, Gradus-98, Lora-2004, Millennium 2000, Zhyuliv, and Gold Farm 91.
