Bulgarian company Maritza Olio has started the construction of a new plant for the production of edible oils and biodiesel, local media reported on Friday.
The company has bought for the purposes of the project a land plot of 9.0 hectares near Pleven, in northern Bulgaria, state-run news agency BTA (www.bta.bg) said.
The project, which will create 50 jobs, also has an electricity co-generation component with a capacity of around 4.0 megawatts, BTA said.
