Bulgaria's MonBat/MonBat Recycling 10-mo cons pre-tax profit falls 17.7%

The consolidated pre-tax profit of Bulgarian companies MonBat [BUL:5MB] and MonBat Recycling totalled 14.6 million levs ($9.64 million/7.46 million euro) in the first ten months of 2012, 17.7% down on the year, MonBat said on Monday.

Car battery maker MonBat and its scrap metal recycling unit MonBat Recycling posted combined net sales revenue of 169.7 million levs through October, 2.9% down from a year earlier, MonBat said in a note to investors.

In October alone, the consolidated pre-tax profit rose by 31.8% on the year to 3.67 million levs, while consolidated sales revenue increased by 15.6% to 25.73 million levs.
