Bulgaria's NEK opens tender for new turbines at pumped storage plant
Sep 18, 2024 13:50 CESTSOFIA (Bulgaria), April 24 (SeeNews) – Bulgarian blue-chip industrial group Stara Planina Hold [BUL:5SR] said on Thursday it expects its sales to grow 7.0% on the year to 62.3 million levs ($44 million/32 million euro) in the first four months of 2014.
In April alone, consolidated sales are seen at 16.1 million levs, after jumping 10.13% on the year to 46.1 million levs in the first quarter, Stara Planina Hold said in a statement.
Stara Planina Hold's subsidiary M+S Hydraulic [BUL:5MH] reported a pre-tax profit of 4.1 million levs in the first quarter, as sales rose 13.1% to 24 million levs.
Another subsidiary, Hydraulic Elements&Systems [BUL:4HE] posted a pre-tax profit of 1.6 million levs through March on sales of nearly 12 million levs, 9.0% up on the year.
Car battery manufacturer Elhim-Iskra [BUL:52E], another company part of the Stara Planina Hold group, made 261,000 levs in pre-tax profit in the first three months of the year as sales went down by an annual 5.0%.
