Otovo cutting staff by 46% amid market slowdown
Sep 17, 2024 12:07 CESTFeb 26, 2013 - Swedish developer of radiation therapy devices C-Rad AB (STO:CRAD B) said Monday it had sealed a contract with Dutch medical firm Cablon Medical BV to market and sell C-Rad's GEMini ED detector for emerging clinical applications.
Under the agreement, C-Rad and Cablon Medical's unit TheraView Technology, which makes modules for the radiation therapy segment, will also cooperate on the development of a complex solution for portal imaging and dosimetry. C-Rad will market the solution in all countries, apart from China, while TheraView will be able to sell the product in the Benelux countries.
C-Rad's GEMini ED detector is a special detector based on the Gas Electron Multiplier (GEM) technology, which finds application in nuclear and particle physics and radiation detection. It can be used for portal imaging, X-ray and portal dosimetry applications, the company explained.
C-Rad's solutions include Sentinel -- a surface contour laser scanning system for patient positioning, and Catalyst, an optical surface scanning and re-projection device.
