Danish offshore wind installation company Cadeler A/S (OSL:CADLR) on Tuesday said it has signed firm contracts to transport and install the turbines and foundations for the 960-MW East Anglia TWO offshore wind project in the UK.

The project, to be located off the east coast of England, is being developed by ScottishPower Renewables, part of Spain’s Iberdrola. It is expected to consist of 64 turbines of 15 MW each.

East Anglia TWO in September secured a contract in the UK government’s renewables auction.

Cadeler will use one of its A-class newbuild vessels, along with an O-class vessel from its existing fleet. Offshore installation work is slated to begin in 2027.

The offshore installation company expects the contracts to be worth between EUR 360 million (USD 393m) and EUR 382 million. It said this represents a portion of the work contemplated by a reservation agreement disclosed in May.

“Following our recent auction success, we’ve been moving with pace and purpose to confirm the supply chain for East Anglia TWO [...],” said ScottishPower Renewables CEO Charlie Jordan.

Several days ago, it was announced that Sif Holding NV and Smulders will supply 64 monopile foundations and transition pieces for East Anglia TWO.
