Iberdrola inaugurates 496-MW Saint-Brieuc wind farm offshore France
Sep 19, 2024 16:25 CESTThe tender for a 60-MW solar project in Cambodia has resulted in a bid of USD 0.03877 (EUR 0.035) per kWh, which is currently the lowest solar power purchase tariff in Southeast Asia.
The auction was conducted by national electric utility Electricite du Cambodge (EDC) and attracted 26 bidders, with Prime Road Alternative Company Limited submitting the lowest tariff.
The project in question will be realised in a public–private partnership and will form part of a 100-MW National Solar Park. It is being supported by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), which acted as the transaction advisor. The bank also provided a sovereign loan coupled with climate finance funds to bankroll the transmission line and substation for the scheme.
Upon completion, the solar park will sell its output to EDC under a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA).
