Canadian Bullfrog Power to sell renewable electricity to Pete's Frootique

Dec 1, 2011 - Canadian wind and hydropower producer Bullfrog Power said today it had agreed to supply 267 MWh of green electricity a year to Nova Scotia grocer Pete's Frootique.

Under the terms of the deal, Bullfrog will pour enough power into the local grid to match the electricity need of Pete's lunch areas and juice bars at its Sunnyside Mall and Dresden Row outlets. The power will come from Bullfrog's wind and hydroelectric installations in the region.

Bullfrog provides renewable power for homes and businesses in the Maritime provinces -- New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island -- since the autumn of 2009. The company plans to further expand its wind power capacity in the region.
