Canadian Bullfrog Power to supply green electricity to art event

Mar 19, 2012 - Canadian wind and hydropower producer Bullfrog Power said last week it would supply some 490 MWh of green electricity for an event organised by the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS).

For the second time the renewable energy provider will cover 100% of the power consumption of CARAS' annual JUNO Awards. This year the awards are running between March 26 and April 1 in Ottawa in the Canadian state of Ontario.

Under the terms of the agreement, Bullfrog will pour enough electricity into the local grid to match the power consumption of all events included in the 2012 edition of the awards. The contracted amount will come from Bullfrog's wind and hydroelectric installations.
