A unit of UK energy services company Centrica PLC (LON:CNA) has sealed a power offtake agreement related to two solar farms of Vienna-based renewable energy company Enery in Estonia.

The three-year power purchase agreement (PPA), the first such deal for Centrica Energy in the country, concerns the 20-MWp Rummu and the 12-MWp Jersey solar parks in Harju county. It will come into effect as of March.

The two facilities, developed and built by Enery in 2023, will generate 39 GWh of clean electricity annually. Their output is equivalent to the power demand of around 12,366 households and the reduction of 24,550 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions per year.

The PPA with Centrica comes less than a week after Enery signed a 10-year virtual cross-border PPA with Hungarian beer company Dreher Sorgyarak Zrt, or Dreher Breweries.
