Centrosolar enters into solar module deal with Zep Solar

(ADPnews) - May 20, 2011 - German solar-energy company Centrosolar AG (FRA:C3O) has inked a licence agreement to manufacture solar modules for California-based Zep Solar Inc.

Under the deal, Centrosolar will manufacture solar modules under the Zep Compatible brand in its own Wismar-located production plant in Germany. These incorporate a grooved frame, allowing them to easily mate with Zep grounding hardware and avoid some of the system components and tools as well as eliminate bulky rails.

As part of the agreement, the developers of both companies have adapted Zep Solar's standard frame profile specifically for Centrosolar in order to make the best use of materials and to suit the requirements of European roof applications.

In addition, the companies have agreed to cooperate on the development and marketing of Zep products in Europe.

In June 2011, Centrosolar is planning to unveil the Zep system at the Intersolar Europe trade fair in Munich, Germany. The system will first be rolled out to the US market in the third quarter of 2011.
