CEZ in Talks To Buy Wind Projects in Romania - Media

BUCHAREST (Romania), April 26 (SeeNews) – Czech power utility CEZ is in advanced talks to purchase several wind energy projects in Romania, Germany and Poland, Bucharest-based media reported.

"We are carrying advanced negotiations, mostly for the acquisition of wind energy projects. We are also in talks, though not quite as advanced, to buy micro power plants," news agency Mediafax on Wednesday quoted CEZ's corporate affairs manager Adrian Borotea as telling an energy seminar in Bucharest.

He provided no further details.

CEZ is developing a 600 MW wind farm project in Fantanele and Cogealac, in southeastern Romania. The wind farm will have 240 turbines and will be Europe's largest onshore wind farm.
