Chile produced 34.1% of its gross electricity from non-conventional renewables in June, according to the latest figures from the national energy commission (CNE).

This percentage was 33.6% in May.

Non-conventional renewables generated 2,467 GWh gross in June, exhibiting a decline of 1.9% month-on-month. In annual terms, the June renewables output represented an increase of 2.3%.

Gross power production from conventional energy sources dropped by 4.2% month-on-month to 4,759 GWh. This leaves the total gross power production at 7,226 GWh in June, down 3.4% from May.

Chile’s total net installed non-conventional renewable energy capacity rose to 15,012 MW in June from 14,971 MW in May.
