Queensland Hydro picks contractors for 2-GW pumped storage project
Sep 18, 2024 6:05 CESTChina Energy Engineering Corporation (HKG:3996) intends to build a 500-MW solar photovoltaic (PV) complex at an unspecified location in Uganda.
The state-owned Chinese group said in a bourse filing on Monday it has signed a USD-500-million (EUR 461.5m) framework agreement, through a unit of its subsidiary China Gezhouba Group Co, for the financing and engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) related to the project. While it did not give specific details about the proposed PV park, it said the capacity will be installed in two phases.
China Gezhouba Group International Engineering Co Ltd will be in charge of the EPC works. The preliminary scope of work covers design, procurement and construction, as well as performing trials for the project.
A formal commercial contract is yet to be signed, China Energy Engineering Corp said. The term of the framework contract, meanwhile, is three years.
