Chinese solar racking provider Antai Technology Co Ltd, also known as Antaisolar, on Monday announced a deal to deliver 470 MWp of solar tracking systems for a photovoltaic (PV) project in Uzbekistan.

The order was placed by engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor Enter Engineering. It will see the Chinese manufacturer deliver its slew-drive single-axis 1P tracking system, TAI-Simple, which it says can achieve an increase in power output of between 18.5% and 24%.

Scheduled to become operational in December, the solar farm will be capable of producing 600 million kWh of electricity annually.

Antaisolar noted that the project is its largest solar tracker award in Central Asia. At the end of 2022, the company’s cumulative solar racking shipments stood at 25.4 GW.

Uzbekistan aims to increase the share of renewables in its power generation mix to 25% in 2026, with the share planned to reach 35% by the end of the decade.
