World set to install 593 GW of new solar in 2024 - Ember
Sep 19, 2024 13:28 CESTOct 30, 2013 - Chinese photovoltaics (PV) maker JinkoSolar Holding Co Ltd (NYSE: JKS) today said it had supplied 1.2 MW solar PV modules to independent solar power producer SolaireDirect Chile.
The solar panels will be installed at a solar plant in the Coquimbo deserts in northern Chile, which has been operational since June 2013. The facility can meet the energy needs of between 1,200 and 1,800 local households.
SolaireDirect is in charge of the plant's operation and maintenance, which it provides remotely.
