Chinese solar module maker Suzhou Talesun Solar Technologies announced on Monday the recent signing of a strategic cooperation agreement with French renewables developer and power producer Neoen SA (EPA:NEOEN).

Talesun Solar did not provide details about the new partnership but noted that the deal was sealed “following an in-depth discussion on the current situation and future development trends of the European photovoltaic industry.”

As of end-June, Neoen had 5.6 GW of installed renewable energy capacity and expects to hit 10 GW by 2025, according to the announcement.

"The strategic partnership between Talesun Solar and Neoen is based on their respective competitiveness and advantages in technical resources in the PV sector," commented Yabin Xing, Senior VP of Overseas Marketing, Sales and Operation at Talesun Solar. He went on to say that the company intends to further expand its footprint in Europe.

Talesun Solar has shipped 805 MW of PV panels to Europe in the period from 2021 to June 2022, including 349.5 MW to France, the company noted.
