Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners P/S (CIP) on Thursday announced the completion of construction work on the 300-MW Zhong Neng offshore wind farm in Taiwan which was developed in partnership with China Steel Corporation (TPE:2002), or CSC.

CIP said in a statement that the facility should achieve full grid connection by the end of the year at which point it will have the capacity to generate enough electricity to supply about 300,000 households.

According to the renewables-dedicated fund manager, this is the first offshore wind farm in Taiwan to be completed ahead of schedule and is CIP’s second to be launched this year following the 600-MW Changfang-Xidao facility.

The Zhong Neng wind park is located off the coast of Changhua County and is made up of 31 Vestas turbines, the first of which were installed in May 2024.
