CKD Praha, Plzenska Teplarenska join hands on waste-to-energy project

Apr 17, 2013 - Czech heat and electricity producer Plzenska Teplarenska as and power generation equipment maker CKD Praha DIZ have inked a deal to establish a waste-to-energy facility in Plzen, CIA news agency reported.

CKD has secured the contract in a tender by offering CZK 1.96 billion (USD 99.2m/EUR 75.9m). The plant, with a capacity of 95,000 tonnes a year, will supply heat and electricity to the city. CKD said further that it will partner with German Martin and Austrian Zauner for the implementation of the project, which is expected to be finalised in 2015.
