Vistra agrees USD 3.25bn buyout of zero-carbon energy unit
Sep 19, 2024 11:01 CESTMay 2, 2012 - US distributed solar co-generation specialist Cogenra Solar on Tuesday said it is installing a 115-kW rooftop solar co-generation system at community hospital Tucson Medical Centre (TMC) in the state of Arizona.
Cogenra expects the facility to become operational this month and to pre-heat an average of 5,300 gallons (20,000 litres) of water a day, and generate 31,600 kWh of electricity a year, saving USD 8,500 (EUR 6,400) in energy costs annually for TMC.
Cogenra is working with local installer Technicians for Sustainability on the construction of the project.
The project is Cogenra's first solar installation on a health care centre, it added.
