Statkraft connects 44.5-MW solar farm to grid in Spain
Sep 19, 2024 15:28 CESTJan 30, 2013 - German solar equipment maker Conergy AG (ETR:CGYK) said today it had won a contract to deliver photovoltaic (PV) modules for a 200-kW rooftop project in Spain.
The company is supplying 800 of its P-series panels for a solar array covering 1,500 square metres (16,146 sq ft) on top of a cheese factory and farm in Coreses, Zamora province, Castile and Leon. The site is owned by local sheep cheese producer Baltasar Moralejo e Hijos Srl.
The system will have an annual output of about 300,000 kWh, meeting about 55% of the factory's power needs, and will offset around 220 tonnes of carbon dioxide a year.
