Ammper Power to procure electricity from 50-MW solar park in Texas
Sep 20, 2024 5:46 CESTOct 17, 2013 - German solar group Conergy AG (ETR:CGYK) will build a 700-kW photovoltaic power plant for Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California.
The facility will be financed and operated by Washington Gas Energy Systems, Conergy said on Wednesday. The German company will be responsible for planning, construction and supply of the components.
The facility, which will consist of three roof-top solar installations, is expected to generate about 1,110 MWh of solar power to the campus a year. This will be enough to power 18% of the three university buildings.
The project will reduce carbon dioxide emissions equal to "taking more than 163 passenger cars off the road for one year," Conergy said in a statement.
