Conergy unveils new module produced outside China

(SeeNews) – Jan 19, 2011 – The US unit of German solar technology producer Conergy AG (ETR:CGY) said yesterday it will add to its module portfolio a new product, which will be produced in Europe.

Conergy USA is diversifying its module portfolio in order to support its continued growth in view of the uncertain tariff decision, Donald Chung, director of marketing and product management, explained.

Conergy's 60-cell polycrystalline module Conergy PM will be immune to potential tariffs or duties resultant from the recent trade complaints against Chinese cell and module producers. Conergy PM will be assembled by an European contract manufacturer, which meets Conergy's rigorous specifications.
