UK-based and southeast Asia-focused Coro Energy Plc (LON:CORO) has unveiled plans for a second wind power project in the Philippines, a 100-MW installation in Oslob municipality in the province of Cebu.

Coro announced on Monday that it has submitted an application to the Philippines Department of Energy (DoE) for a second wind energy service contract (WESC). The second area of interest is close to the company's first project site.

The second project will take advantage of Coro’s 130-metre meteorological mast installed in the country to collect data over the next 12 months and determine the wind resource available.

The news for the Philippine initiatives comes just a few days after Coro signed a binding agreement for the first phase of an overall 50-MW rooftop solar project in Vietnam.
