DTEK to add 200 MW of energy storage in Ukraine
Sep 12, 2024 16:01 CESTDec 30, 2011 - Austrian solar technology specialist Activ Solar has completed the construction of the final phase of its Perovo solar power plant in Ukraine, the company said.
The facility, with a capacity of 100 MW, was built on an area of 200 hectares (494.2 acres). The plant will generate 132,500 MWh of energy, enough to offset 105,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions a year, Active Power added.
The Perovo plant has been Active Power's biggest solar power project so far and among the largest globally, according to the company.
Three months ago, Active Power put on stream its 80-MW Ohotnikovo solar power plant in Ukraine and recently opened an office in the country.
