Chile's renewables share climbs to 45.5% in Sept
Nov 07, 2024 15:26 CESTOct 25, 2013 - Chilean glassworks Cristalerias Toro will invest USD 13 million (EUR 9.4m) to expand by 8.75 MW its wind farm in Lebu municipality, in the central Biobio region, the company said in its environmental impact declaration yesterday.
The wind farm currently has an installed capacity of 6.5 MW after the addition of two turbines in 2012.
The company will increase to 1.75 MW the individual capacity of two turbines that were part of the previous expansion plan but have not yet been installed. It also wants to install three additional turbines of the same capacity.
Construction is scheduled for February 2014.
