The Croatian energy market operator, HROTE, has issued a call for a tender for the allocation of market premium support to renewable energy projects totalling 607 MW.

The tender invitation, issued on Friday, contains capacity quotas for different project types grouped in two categories and the respective maximum reference prices.

First group - plants with an installed capacity above 1 MW

The market premium is the difference between the reference value and the reference market price of electricity.

The invitation will be open for 60 days, HROTE said. The public tender will then be launched, giving project developers 15 days to submit bids.

The previous such tender occurred in 2022 and sougth to back over 600 MW of capacity, but received 150 MW of bids amid high electricity prices.
