Australia puts green tick on 300-MW solar project in Queensland
Sep 20, 2024 6:04 CESTCroatian private equity funds Nexus and Prosperus are conducting due diligence to join a biogas project planned by privately-held concern Agrokor, Zagreb-based media reported.
Preparatory activities related to the project are in progress, but it is still too early to give more details, Marko Makek, member of the Nexus management, confirmed for news daily Poslovni Dnevnik (www.poslovni.hr) on Monday.
Last August, Agrokor inaugurated a 1.0 megawatt biogas-fired combined heat and power plant in Gradec, 40 kilometres from Zagreb, marking its entry into the production of clean energy.
Similar to the Gradec facility, the new capacity planned in eastern Slavonia will run on biogas produced from organic waste, a by-product of Agrokor’s agricultural business, Poslovni said.
Nexus and Prosperus are two of the five private equity funds formed at the initiative of the Croatian government to help develop private equity and venture capital investing in the Adriatic country.
