Iberdrola inaugurates 496-MW Saint-Brieuc wind farm offshore France
Sep 19, 2024 16:25 CESTCroatian real estate company Projekt Oporovecka has put forward plans for the construction of a 80-MW/96-MWp solar photovoltaic (PV) park in eastern Croatia.
The company has submitted an environmental impact assessment (EIA) report in relation to the scheme, official government data shows.
Projekt Oporovecka’s proposal envisages the installation of PV modules within a 218.5-hectare (540-acre) site in the village of Gornji Caglic, near the town of Lipik in Croatia’s Pozega-Slavonia County. The complex will be equipped with 143,927 modules of 0.66 kWp each, as well as 18 Siemens Gamesa inverters.
According to the developer’s estimates, the Lipik solar park will be able to generate 144,808 MWh of electricity annually, which will help offset between 21,720 tonnes and 26,210 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions per year.
Projekt Oporovecka has found out that the solar farm’s operation will not harm air quality and will have a negligible impact on the geodiversity in the region. Its proposal comes with a list of environmental protection measures, which include keeping existing vegetation in areas that will not be directly affected by construction activities.
