Croatian retailer Plodine H1 non-cons profit up 6.3% - table

Croatian retailer Plodine said its non-consolidated profit rose 6.3% on the year to 20.1 million kuna ($3.4 million/2.7 million euro) in the first half of 2012.

The company issued the following details in a statement to the Zagreb Stock Exchange (in millions of kuna):

The total net area of retail space operated by the company at its 69 supermarkets was 121,885 square metres (sq m) at the end of June.

Plodine said it opened two retail units in the first half of 2012 and plans to add two more by the end of the year.

The Rijeka-based retailer is wholly-owned by local businessman Mile Curkovic.
