Croatian company Bioplin Rovisce has been granted a preliminary regulatory nod for the construction of a 999-kilowatt biogas-fired power plant, the national energy regulator said.

The power plant will be located in the municipality of Rovisce, the Croatian Energy Regulatory Agency said in its preliminary decision on granting the project promoter the status of an eligible power producer.

The preliminary decision, issued in January, has a three-year term of validity.
