Croatia's gross electricity production increased by 4.7% on the month to 960 GWh in June, statistics office data showed on Thursday.

On an annual comparison basis, the country's gross electricity output soared 84%, following a 0.3% increase in May, the data indicated.

Croatia's electricity imports rose 12% month-on-month to 750 GWh in June, while exports rose 40.1% to 283 GWh. Compared to June 2015, imports were down 12.3%, while exports jumped 13.5 times.

Croatia's electricity consumption was 1,369 GWh in June, up 0.8% on the month and 2.2% on the year.
