Croatia's net electricity production increased by 1.2% on the year but was 5.4% lower on the month to 901 GWh in May, the country's statistics office said on Tuesday.

Croatia's electricity imports increased 24.1% on the year to 670 GWh in May, while exports rose to 202 GWh from 85 GWh a year earlier, the office said.

Month-on-month, electricity imports jumped 13% and exports rose 4.1%.

Electricity available for the domestic market amounted to 1,358 GWh, up 2% both in annual and monthly comparison.
